Showroom Assistant & Inside Sales Representative

  • Mon: 9am - 6 pm/ Tues - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm/ Sat: 10am - 3pm
  • *Late Thursdays unit 7pm when off the Saturday & Off early 2:30pm Fridays when working Saturday Bi-Weekly)
  • Sales Associate 2: Mon: 8:30am - 6 pm/ Tues - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm/ Sat: 10:30am - 3:30pm

The ideal sales and design/customer service representative will be proficient in basic computer programs, online store ordering, and order management, including but not limited to: Word, excel, email, Amazon, POS Terminal Re: Moneris and basic problem-solving skills required. ( A plus is any knowledge in Auto CAD, Revit and PowerPoint.) Understanding of basic administrative duties Bilingual in French a plus but not required. Post-secondary, Industry and marketing experience an asset to meet strong communication skills required (verbal & written) Interior design a plus.

You must be able to communicate both orally and in writing in English fluently. Responsibilities include greeting customers over the phone, online and personally (in the showroom), maintaining the showroom, assisting in both USA and CDN sales through the online ordering processing system, processing cash, and card payments, answering queries from customers, giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers. Knowledge in understanding and positively influencing clients questions and concerns. As well as maintaining documents and records (e.g., Requests for Proposal, quotes, vendor files, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines. Other responsibilities include performing general and program specific clerical functions (e.g., answering the telephones, distributing purchase orders, scheduling, copying, faxing, filing, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the Administrative department. You would be working within established guidelines, particularly from manufacturers. You would also be required to attach price tags to merchandise on the floor and keep up to date with special promotions and putting up displays. Sales skills, selling points, lead follow up, client retention and personal appearance all highly required to be successful. Strict office work and work ethic required to be well suited to this position and management. Our Company is looking for a long time commitment and a candidate that is seeking a permanent position / future.
