Beamed Ceiling - Installed Using Pre-Formed Beams

Although some contractors use wood to make the beams in beamed ceilings, we prefer to use drywall. Drywall is more stable and will not shrink or crack the way either wood or MDF does.

Notice the absence of tape on the beams. We pre-form the beams at our factory and come with the beams prepared on the job site, dramatically cutting down on the sanding and dust on the job site.

Conveniently, the cornice moulding saves us from taping and sanding were the beams meet the ceiling. You may choose from over 70 profiles to finish your beamed ceiling.

The end result, a nine paneled beamed ceiling.

When we install Geometric Beamed Ceilings, we use pre-forming the beams in our factory to reduced the installation time from seven to just three days. We also have an example of the beamed ceiling in our Toronto Showroom.

As opposed to the conventional method of back-bending work on scaffolds twenty feet high, we choose to work at a bench in-house.

Here is a close-up of the round inside circle made with MDF / Poplar frame.

The two section are dry-fitting before leaving the factory.

The flexible cornice trim is installed after the structure is in place.

The next step is the finial finish coat of paint.
