Showroom Assistant & Inside Sales Representative

 Position: Full Time 

Hours: 40/hrs – Days
Schedule Monday – Saturday (Wednesday        or Thursday rotating off)

Rate: $11.00-$12.00/hr to start depending on experience

General Description

Perform daily tasks focused on selling, stocking and ordering merchandise in retail or online sales. Occupants of this classification may be assigned to one or more specific merchandise areas within an operation and work within established guidelines in performing tasks. Difficult or unusual problems are typically referred to the supervisor.

Work Requirements

  • You must be able to communicate both orally and in writing in English fluently. Responsibilities include greeting customers who call and enter the showroom, maintaining the showroom, assisting in both USA and CDN sales through the online ordering processing system, processing cash and card payments, answering queries from customers and giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers. You would also be required to deal with customer complaints.
  • You would be accountable for purchasing showroom stock, control and management of the stock. As well as maintaining purchasing documents, files and records (e.g. Requests for Proposal, vendor files, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Other responsibilities include performing general and program specific clerical functions (e.g. answering the telephones, distributing purchase orders, scheduling, copying, faxing, filing, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the Administrative Manager.
  • You would be working within established guidelines, particularly with manufacturers. You would also be required to attach price tags to merchandise on the shop floor and keep up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.

Shipping Assistant & Warehouse General Labour

 

Position: Full Time

General Description

All jobs including, but not limited to, verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the pick up of products from clients. To assist manager in day to day warehouse maintenance, shipping and areas required to successfully maintain an effective warehouse and shipping department.

 

Work Requirements

  • To assist in all Warehouse daily activities, including but not limited to: Pull, count and double check outgoing orders to verify physical counts to correspond with orders. Tag with Customer names and or order numbers. Load onto trucks for shipment. Date, time, stamp, and sign shipping copies, and ensure individual picking up goods has appropriate corresponding documents relating to items.
  • Offload goods from trucks, note any damage and/or shortage of packages on waybill immediately. Communicate freight claim to Purchasing department/administration. Count verification- Goods are to be counted, all quantity counts are to be documented on applicable P.O. And suppliers packing slip. All receiving copies are to be dated, stamped and signed as being received by receiver. Count verified are to be 1. what is on shipment received and corresponds to packing slip and 2. what is on packing slip/shipment corresponds to purchase order. Communicate immediately with purchasing department/administration any shortages, discrepancies, or variances on goods received.
  • Assist in Inventory counts. Maintaining work environment by participating in daily/weekly organization, following all company policies and regulations.
