Coffered Recessed Ceilings - Geometric

Historically, coffers were often the result of structural needs, as they covered support beams in large rooms. These beams created an architectural appearance that turned out to be quite visually appealing.

I believe that many people consider these geometric designs a good choice for irregular shaped rooms.

Here are some examples of Geometric Recessed Ceilings; they are characterized as ceilings with a central focal point.

We pre-fabricate all our drywalls beams in house, this saves time sanding and greatly reduces messy drywall dust.  We suggest that the beams be made proportional to the room size and height, ask your estimator regarding design options.

Commonly we use a square or even a round circle. To reduce time spent on the job site, we pre-fabricate most of these beams in plaster or drywall in our factory. These types of coffers are made from drywall or plaster beams as they do not crack due to expansion and contraction as wooden beams do.
