The beauty of real wood moldings is eternal, be it Poplar, Oak, Maple or Cherry. Although MDF is very flexible in its application, there are many instances when painting or faux finishing just won't cut it. Elite Moldings recognizes this; and this is why we now offer our SM5 and SM7 lineup of MDF Crown Molding styles in stain grade wood.

Although some customers will not use anything but the real thing, few people know that Poplar can be stained to mimic more expensive Oak, Cherry and Maple along with a variety of other wood species. This is not to say that Poplar would ever replace the real thing but if you want a lower cost alternative, Poplar may very well suit your needs.

We are able to emboss any of our patterns on any species of wood; the embossing will take a stain and is a permanent part of the molding that will not flake or chip off when cutting. Elite Moldings also offers Pre-Stained Moldings, we use a computer guided stain machine to give your molding an even stain without runs. These products come in random lengths due to the variances in stain grade quality wood; the manufacturing process eliminates any knots, cracks or discolorations for you. Manufacturing is done on a per order basis and generally takes 3 weeks to make.
